on a hot day
Last week we had a hot day and I remembered that I loved to play with "waterballoons". I could only find the normal size balloons in our little shop in the Kibbutz, so we filled those ones with water, did some throwing games- but more fun was to punch small holes with needles (if you try this- don't fill the balloons with a lot of water- they will explode)- and we had small fountains...

garden update
Our garden is changing a bit... we finally managed to prepare the raised beds for our vegetables. Two are still waiting for soil- but hopefully we will manage this weekend to finish them. The beet, tomatoes, herbs, cucumbers, latuce and pepers are growing and I finally also want to sow carrots, radish and other stuff...
starting...
The frames my husband made are in place... another one followed later on.
One is filled and the plants are in place (to the left- not in the picture)- the other two are so far playground for the girls and a place to sleep for the cats...

easter eggs
Our computer is still broken and a new one has to wait a bit.
But I finally managed to download the pictures to my husbands laptop...
So with a week delay I can show you pictures of the Easter-eggs we made.
We made coloured ones with tissue paper- we covered already boiled eggs with the wet paper, let them dry and took later the paper down.
The other ones we did the more "traditional" way- we picked leafs of plants and tied them with stockings to the eggs- then we boiled them in onion-shell and red beet (the red beet did somehow not really work...).
