more nuts




Yesterday was a nice, sunny day and we got down some more nuts from our tree.... I don't know how many kilos we already have- more than 4 large buckets full....
My husband climbed on the small roof over the entrance and tried to get down as many nuts as possible- the girls loved the "nut-rain" and collected them.
Now we just need to crack them all.
Yesterday I made a chocolate-pecan-cake and more nuts-baking will follow.
Today we are back to rainy and cold weather...




are there some more???

Are you having blisters yet of cracking all those nuts? Chocolate pecan cake just sounds delicious!

The trick is to boil the nuts in water for a minute- the shell gets softer and you can crack them easily- you can even get the whole nut in one piece out if it...

Deine letzten Posts kenn ich ja noch gar nicht.
Die Naturbilder sind gigantisch.
Aber auch deine "Pizza" sieht lecker aus ;-)
Das wäre auch was für meine Maus und ihre Spielküche.
Und nun bin ich auch ein bisschen schlauer und weiß, dass Pecannüsse auf Bäumen wachsen ;-)
