a pile of leafs

Just a week ago there were still some leafs up on the pecan tree. Now they are gone. Every year we enjoy the pile of foliage... So much fun to jump into it, to hide in it....

Sadly this will be the last year of the dear old pecan tree. We plan to start renovating and expanding our home and there was no way around the pecan tree. We will have to cut him down- but we will be able to use the wood to heat our new home in the winter.
