a festive cardboard house

The days are getting shorter and we start to spend more ime inside... Our house is small and we don't have much space so it is not always easy to give the kids enough space.

Some days ago we found this huge cardboard box. Someone bought a new fridge. We carried the whole thing back to our house. We cut out some windows, the kids decorated their new house with crayons and I made holes in the ceiling and pushed the lights from the Christmas decoration through.

The kids spent the whole afternoon playing peacefully in their new home :-)

Now the house is filling out almost all of our living room and I guess we will have to get rid of the box soon to get our space back...
