spring

Dahin!
Dahin möcht' ich mit dir,
O mein Geliebter, ziehn.

(Mignon, Goethe)

(translation)
Do you know the land where the lemon trees blossom?
Among dark leaves the golden oranges glow.
A gentle breeze from blue skies drifts.
The myrtle is still, and the laurel stands high.
Do you know it well?
There, there
would I go with you, my beloved.

I love this poem (well it's only a part of it...)
Spring is here. The judas trees blossom beautifully and the lemon tree behind the house starts to blossom too- soon there will be the sweet smell of it that I love so much...
Have a wonderful day!

Wonderful pictures and poem. We have our own famous spring poem with the famous sentence "a new spring, a new sound", which became kind of a proverb. (Mei, Herman Gorter)
